Livingston & Evans received a nomination for best original song from a motion picture by the Motion Picture Academy for THE CAT AND THE CANARY from Why Girls Leave Home.
1946
Famous Music Corporation presented Livingston & Evans 18-carat gold framed copies of TO EACH HIS OWN, in recognition of being the first song to have ever sold over one million copies of sheet music.
1948
Livingston & Evans received the Academy Award from the Motion Picture Academy for the best original song from a motion picture, BUTTONS AND BOWS from The Paleface.
1950
Livingston & Evans received the Academy Award from the Motion Picture Academy for best original song from a motion picture, MONA LISA from Captain Carey, U.S.A.
1956
Livingston & Evans received the Academy Award from the Motion Picture Academy for best original song from a motion picture WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE (QUE SERA, SERA) from The Man Who Knew Too Much.
1957
Livingston & Evans received a nomination from the Motion Picture Academy for best original song from a motion picture, TAMMY from Tammy And The Bachelor.

Livingston & Evans received a nomination from the Motion Picture Academy for best original song from a motion picture ALMOST IN YOUR ARMS from Houseboat.
1964
Livingston & Evans and Henry Mancini received a nomination from the Motion Picture Academy for the best original song from a motion picture DEAR HEART from Dear Heart.
1966
The City of Los Angeles dedicated their annual music week to Livingston & Evans where their song ANGELTOWN was accepted as the OFFICIAL SONG OF LOS ANGELES.
1971
Livingston & Evans were elected to the Songwriters Hall of Fame by the Songwriters Guild of America.
1982
The Songwriters Guild of America honored Livingston & Evans with an evening in which they received the prestigious Aggie Award, “in recognition of a treasurehouse of songs.”
1990
American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers presented Livingston & Evans with special performance awards for SILVER BELLS and MONA LISA for The Most Performed Standards from October 1, 1979 to September 30, 1989.
1992
MONA LISA, as performed by Nat “King” Cole, was voted into the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
1995
Livingston & Evans received their star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame.
1996
The Young Musicians Foundation presented Jay Livingston with their LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. The Motion Picture Academy honored Livingston & Evans with an evening of their songs and accomplishments, including film clips and live performances at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.
1997
Livingston & Evans celebrated their 60th year as a songwriting team. The longest running songwriting team in history!
